I work with adults in corporate, college or community settings. Percussion sessions are great team-builders, creating a positive atmosphere in which everyone starts on an equal footing – and through their energy and enthusiasm – can create the sounds of Rio Carnaval. 

From 1998-2005 I worked with Catalyst Event Management whose clients included British Airways, Astra Zeneca, PWC, Royal Bank of Scotland.

I am currently a facilitator and team leader for Drumjam, whose clients include Lloyds Band and United Utilities.

Testimonial for my work with adults from John Fyffe, Lecturer in EFL, English Language Centre Manager, Salford Languages, University of Salford: I asked Eddie Sherwood to organise and lead drumming and percussion workshops for a specific group of international students at the University of Salford. The idea was to help with bonding and socialisation amongst a very diverse group of students from a wide range of different countries who had recently started their undergraduate programme at the University in order to help with student progression and retention. Eddie immediately understood the scope of the project and its challenges and adapted the workshops so that all the students wanted to be involved. He was extremely culturally-sensitive and pitched his use of language perfectly. Eddie is quietly charismatic and his naturally empathetic style ensured that even the shyest, or those who might perhaps otherwise have felt diffident about mixing for a variety of reasons, soon threw themselves into the workshops.

The workshops were a huge success and the feedback from students and staff, both immediately and at the end of the Academic Year, was superb. One measure of Eddie's success was that the staff also asked if they could have their own team-building drumming and percussion workshops with him. I would recommend Eddie Sherwood's drumming and workshops to anyone. They were hugely enjoyable for both staff and students, but as well as being good as a bonding exercise, they were also very useful for students' self-confidence, helping students to feel more creative and linguistically positive. The workshops also helped with student retention and progression through bonding and an increased sense of belonging. I highly recommend Eddie Sherwood's drumming and percussion workshops.
